Governor Brown: “NO CARBON TRADING!” Statewide Action

Sacramento, CA- While thousands of leaders flock to Washington, DC to protest President Obama and oppose the Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline that would run from Canada to Texas, destroying freshwater ecosystems and displacing thousands of indigenous people, hundreds of CA residents mobilized to Sacramento on August 24, 2011 for a Statewide Action, calling on Governor Brown to intervene with Cap and Trade, a carbon market program that displaces and disproportionately burdens low-income, immigrants, people of color and indigenous communities in CA and México.
